1969-1978 Lock Cylinder Removal Instructions
This one page instructional sheet shows you exactly where to access the release bar on GM vehicles that use the lock cylinder without a retaining screw. This design was used on all GM cars and trucks beginning in 1969 when they moved the ignition lock from the dash into the column. These instructions begin after the steering wheel and lock plate have been removed and the turn signal switch is positioned out of the way.
