GM Ignition Switch Installation Instructions (1969-200*)
This FREE INSTRUCTION PAGE is an example of how we present our instructions.
This particular page shows you the proper installation of the electrical ignition switch mounted on the top of the Saginaw steering column designs. The rod needs to be pointing straight up at the 12:00 position for both tilt and non-tilt designs (except 1995 and newer G-Van) DO NOT BEND THE ROD.
The electrical connector ALWAYS face the passenger side
A correct TILT ignition switch will have the round end of the plastic casting pointed towards the driver when the electrical connectors are facing the passenger side. A NON-Tilt switch will have the rectangular plastic end facing the driver. If you cannot mount your switch EXACTLY like this, then you may have the wrong switch.
