Saginaw steering columns use a locking plate to secure the steering wheel on tilt and non tilt columns. This plate is for TILT columns only and measures 3 3/8" in diameter. This plates DOES NOT use a plastic dust cover to conceal the lock plate exposure. It may either be covered by a steel ring (gmsteelcover) or used on vehicles that have an airbag and clockspring. This smaller design allows for the wire harness to fit without being cut during normal steering.
