The dimmer actuator rod for GM tilt column fits inside the dimmer cap, against the dimmer actuator and runs the length of the column down to the dimmer switch (mounted on the side of the column.) When you pull the turn lever, you are actually pushing the dimmer actuator and rod so that the dimmer switch changes circuits from low beam to high beam

The dimmer rod came in multiple lengths over the years. For the tilt columns, they are typically the same design, just different lengths. We have a number of these used rods, but unfortunately they are not identified.
Determine the length rod you need and order it by length during checkout. We measure "tip-to-tip".
