This dimmer cap base fits most GM vehicles with tilt steering columns. This 2 piece cap covers the left side of the column for vehicles with cruise control levers with a short wire connector. This lower cover remains in place securing the dimmer actuator when the outer cover is removed. This cap DOES NOT FIT Camaro, Corvette, Firebird or 1993-1994 Full Size pickups with the antitheft design (lock ring and rack gear internal security metal cover). Those models use a different cover and plate:
