Upper steering column shaft / plate locking c-clip. This part is used on telescopic steering columns only. There were 2 different designs between 1969 and 1990 with a transition in 1974. 1969-1974 utilized a clip with a slightly larger opening and both edges of the clip were the same width. From 1974 on, the clip used a design where one edge that slides into the shaft was thinner than the other side requiring only 1 method of installation. From time to time, we have both designs.
